How to read a swatch card
GSM is the weight in grams per square metre. Under 80 GSM is sheer and floaty, good for dupattas and sarees. 80 to 130 GSM drapes well for kurtis and dresses. Over 130 GSM holds shape for suits, lehengas and heavier sarees.
Width is quoted in inches, as the market quotes it. A than is one folded roll, about 40 metres on most of our fabrics.
Colour on screen is only a guide
These swatches are drawings, and phone screens shift colour. Before a bulk order, ask for the physical swatch card; we courier up to ten codes together. Shade can vary slightly between dye lots, so each bale carries its lot number.
